Electric Playground!!

Hey all! We were just on TV!!! The Electric Playground did a feature report on P-Brane. I actually did not get a chance to see it, but it should be up on their site in a few days. I'll post a link as soon as it's up. The book has been selling really well at conventions and book fairs; everyone is blown away by the work we have done.

If any one saw the piece, let me know what it was like.

Montreal Worldcon Wrap-up

I know it has been a couple of weeks since the Worldcon, but I would just like to say how amazing an event that was. It introduced P-Brane to the science fiction scene and we had so many great compliments and good discussions. Not to mention the Neil Gaiman signing was right behind us (separate by only a cloth backdrop) I could have easily reached across and grabbed Neil by his hair... but I thought better of it.

For those whose pictures we took, we are working on the pages and certainly hope t… Continue

Out of this WorldCon

Wow! Here we are at the WorldCon, Sic Fi's biggest weekend of the year! (Check it out here). P-Brane has a chance to be introduced to a different audience. We have met tonnes of interesting people and shared lots of great stories. Neil Gaiman is doing his autograph signing today, so we should have some pretty big crowds. It's a very cool convention. But I gotta get back to work. I keep you posted on what happens here.

Check Out the On-Line Comic!

Alright, sorry once again for the delay, we're trying to find the best way to get our on-line comic up and running. We finally chose the application "wobook", that puts the comic in a cool page-turning format.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Lots of cool stuff has been happening in P-braneworld. First and foremost we will be at WorldCon, the biggest sci-fi convention in the world (Neil Gaiman is the special guest). This is the organization that hands out the Hugo awards.

Also, we… Continue

NEW YORK COMICON PAGE ONE

Alright gang, it's finally here. Sorry for the delay, but so much has been going on that we just couldn't put the final touches on the comic till today. We got many pages done, and we will start releasing them, one per week. Look for new pages on Tuesdays.

So here we have page one! Let me know what you think, and let us know if YOU are on the page (if so, which panel). We're excited about this project and hope you are too!

Final Thoughts on the Watchmen - A Visionary Graphic Novel; A Not so Visionary Movie

The Watchmen well deserves its place as the most visonary graphic novel of its times, capturing the rising threat of post WWII nuclear reality from the forties to the eighties. The whole world was duly warned in the forties and fifties, then traumatised by the cold w… Continue

Who's Watching the Watchmen?

The most famous Graphic Novel of all time gets its film treatment this weekend. So far, the reviews are mixed, but as Angus pointed out yesterday (after giving us a diatribe on gay zombies in film) if the reviewers are posting comments like, "It's hard to tell who the good guys… Continue

I've been away

Hi folks

It's been a while, hasn't it? Let me fill you in on what I've been up to. Not because I think my life is all that, but because this is my journal, and I'm pretty sure that's what it's for.

First, I have a brand spanking new column over at diii.net called DiConstruction, where I dismantle the Diablo games piece by piece and compare them to each other and other games and media. It comes out on the first and third Tues… Continue
